Two Hand Backhand Closed Pivot
Typically this shot is performed in response to a medium to fast crosscourt incoming ball that crosses the singles tram line...where you want to put pressure on your opponent. However, its also used when going lateral across the baseline taking a final step inside the baseline. Use rhythm steps if you have plenty of time, otherwise you may use crossover steps out to a wider ball. Its important to NOT close off your stance too much...as it will put undue strain on your back (stick to no more than 45 degrees closed).
